February 7th, 2009 -- Today morning we were in the base camp Plaza del Mulas. During the previous days since our last report, we have spent days in strenuous walks , first to Puenta del Inca to the inbetween camp Confluencia, then we had a day rest in Confluencia and yesterday at 12.00 oclock start we walked as long as 25 km to Plaza del Mulas overcoming the height of 1100 metres.

The first set of photos applies to our Eap that we had on the mountain Vallecitos. The photos follow the chronological report that we sent earlier. This is what our EAP looked like on January 29th, and February 3rd, 2009.

February 4th, 2009 -- On this day we headed to Penitentes to the place called Puenta del Inca, from where we went on foot to the inbetween camp Confluenca. During that day we walked as long as 5 km up a very steep slope which was not very hard, but the wind on that day was terribly strong and was making a sand storm all the time. It looked like this mainly

February 5th, 2009 -- Daniela , the German Werner and had a day for rast while others went on acclimatization to Plaza Francie, the south wall of Aconqagua. We stayed in the camp because unlike the rest of the team we had seven days more on the mountain in acclimatization than the others at the height of 5400 msl. The rest itself wasn't anything to mention because the water in Confluencia is full of Magnezium so we had to spend greater part of the day in the toilet. The others had the same problems as well but during the acclimatization. Except of staying in the toilet we had some time for the walks arround the camp.

February 6th, 2009 -- From Confluencia we headed to Plaza del Mulas, the base camp to Aconqagua. We had 25 km of extraordinary hard walk. The first part was like a walk through a dessert. We walked along a dry valley of the river Horkones, and the rest of the trip was very hard up the steep slope. The walk took us 8 hours.

Tomorrow carrying of food and equipment to the level camp Canada at 5400 msl is in front of us. Today is the day for rest and recovering from the previous day . I want Daniela and me to spend the day wisely in order to fill on all the stocks that we have emptied these days, because a terribly hard day is in front of us.
