February 8th, 2009 -- The Expedition Lazar's Teas - Danijela Jovanovic had an aim today to take the chance for acclimatization to the first height camp Canada - C1 . Toda's aim has been fulfilled, and besides that Daniela started drinking tea which she hasn't drunk for 32 years because she had been fed up of it while drinking it as a child. I really adore her persistance and self-sacrificing!! Her resolution is to conquer the peak and she is ready to stand up any sacrifice: )))

There is one important thing that I have forgoten to do and it is to introduce all the members of the expedition to you. So here they all are:

And, of course, our best friend Fernando Colobini , Daca's regular accompanist besides me, has been with us from the very begining , but I couldn't take memory card from him with the photos from Vallecitos and I also couldn't take photo of him for the updates. I'll do it tomorrow:)

After 4 hours of walk we came up to the plateau where the height camp Canada is . On our way we met a group of 20 Serbs led by Milos Ivackovic. They are in a good condition although I think their programme is too hard, but they are going to have excellent acclimatization. All of them were very friendly to us and Milos gave all the important pieces of information.

At Canada it looked like this

Tomorrow we are having a day of rest , and we did today's acclimatization because of the sleeping and acclimatization of the day after tomorrow , because on that day our climb up itself starts.

Daca is becoming a real star in the BC Plaza de Mulas, more and more people that meet us contact her!!! They are delighted with her and say that she inspires them to get to the peak and they also wish her good luck on her way to Aconqagua.
