On Sunday July27th,2008 the two member expedition, Danijela Jovanovic and Slobodan Stokic, set off from Nikola Tesla airport in Belgrade .

The members of the expeditions will fly to Moskow where they will stay a night the fly on to Mineral Waters the next day. According to the plan of the journey they will travel by taxi from Moscow to Terskol , the distance of 200 km.

You can follow the course of the expedition by reading the every day reports that the members are going to send.

Danijela Jovanovic starts climbing up to Elbrus
Belgrade -Danijela Jovanovic is the first invalid woman to try to climb the highest top of the Kavkaz - Elbrus and it was announced  by the Association for Sport and Recreation of Invalid Persons Belgrade that the expedition is going to set off today.
On her way she will be accompanied by the trainer Slobodan Stokic and the expedition was organised by by the Association for Sport and Recreation of Invalid Persons Belgrade and The Extreme Sports Club 'Pozitiv' .
Danijela was born on August 13th 1968, with heavy invalidity- handless, feetless and deformity of lower jaw.
She stayed in nourishing families then in the Home for Mental and Underdeveloped Persons in Sremcica. From 2003 she has lived as an independent person in a community as a part of the project "SAPI".
From 2001 she goes in for athletics, tenis and basketball and from 2006 she starts mountaineering when on initiative of the trainer Slobodan Stokic a project for including invalid person in recreative sports and climbing activities started.
Before this trial Danijela won several tops in Serbia - Stol, Rtanj, Mijor - in winter conditions and also some tops in Montenegro. She won the Balkan highest top Musala (2954m) in Bulgaria, too.

The top Elbrus is in the Kavkaz mountains and is the highest top of east Europe.
