TUESDAY, August 5TH, 2008: The previous night passed in heavy rain showers and thunders in the base camp. At about 13.00 the team set off through the rain and strong wind to aclimatisation.
"Our aim was the peak of the rock Pastichova at 4650msl. At the foot of the rock we got in 4 hours. At 17.00 the weather started getting clear . At the bottom the lack of oxygen could feel, so it took us about 1.5 hours to get to the top of the rock. Danijela endured aclimatisation exellently, but she had bad headache and threw up everything when we went down to base camp." - said Slobodan in his today's report.
Slobodan also said that at the return a glacier broke off over which he was walking only 20 m away from the base camp so he slipped into the icy water to his waist. He said nothing more about this accident but later he said that the Russians helped him to dry his clothes.
