On the plateau above the cave is built the Info-centre, where for guests is available ticket office, gift shop and a restaurant with summer garden. Opening Ceremony-Info Centre held on 27 August 2008. year.
Ravništarka is one of the greatest caves in Serbia. The main cave have a long channel with its 501.5. Meters, while the total length of all cave channels is 589th meters. The length of tourist routes through the cave is 560th meters. Stream Ponorac flows through Ravništarka, which emerges second km. upstream in a small, Bisina cave.
Although the cave Ravnistarka has visited in 1894th the famous Serbian scientist and geographer Jovan Cvijic, but he, as well as local residents enter only in accessible entrance of the cave (60-80m). "Ravništarka" is truly discovered nearly a hundred years later (1980.), when a few courageous young rural mans crossed the cave from start to finish. Cavers are only follow their trail latter.
Cave ornaments of Ravništarka are equal in beauty to that of Ceremosnja cave. Unlike Ceremosnja, which is essentially a set of several large halls, Ravništarka Cave has only one room -''Black Castle''. Original seal to Ravništarka cave, gives its main channel, which resembles a giant tunnel, richly decorated with the most diverse cave ornaments.
From the figure, the most important are the pinto Mark Prince, Glavonje and Beautiful Ravnistarka, which is also the emblem of the cave.
Characteristics of a cave
As a river cave, a Ravništarka cave is poor in floor jewelry, but very rich ceiling-mounted and wall ornaments. The cave has a temperature of 8 C - 10 C. The entrance to the cave is located at an altitude of 406.6 m.
In a morpho-speleological terms, Ravništarka has been allocated in 9 parts:
- Sava’s channel starts from the cave entrance, 88 m long, is a poor in cave ornaments.
- Youth channel. It measures 72.5 m, and the cave ornaments stands out: Rudonja - massive tufa hemisphere, Odžaklija - spacious malt-like open hearth in old houses.
- Swan Lake Length is 126.5 m. This unit is named after a small lake and figures on it that looks like a swan. Especially beautiful is the column pillars, called Lake Fairy. Beauty stands out and Harp - drapery assembly and stalagmites reminiscent of this instrument. Mention the devil - a massive stalagmite, rust colour with a horn on his head. However, the emblem stands out from the cave, Fancy Ravništarka - emergency system designed wall decorations of white crystalline calcite.
- White Castle, , is 37 m long, with a side channel 44 m. White Castle was given such a name because it bears an uncanny resemblance to the structure of fairy tales. Snow white ceiling from which hangs a massive forest of stalactites, many of which exceed a length of 6 m, is very impressionable. In this castle to live as a cursed prince, who expects a beautiful princess, her savior. It is especially nice Snowy balcony – snow white shell that starts at a height of 3.5 m. In the second part of the White castle is a pinto Mark Prince - large horse figure Łebie the ceiling. This figure reminds of the dragon, that seems to hold in captivity doomed prince.
- Leopard 16.5 channel is ahead as we continue to White Castle. Named after the strange patterns on the ceiling and walls, which resemble Leopard fur. Here is a Virgin spring, interesting morphological and hydrographical phenomena. It is the source from which through a narrow crack under the pressure of the water comes out vertically and the system, Fragmentary to the rock above them. The source is otherwise active only in a wet period of the year (by mid-spring).
- Black castle, which is 43 m long, is a classic Cave hall average width of about 20 m and height of 12 m. It was named after the black rocks, which are in some directions interspersed with white calcite forms. Hall seems mysterious. As it is right here lived the evil fairy, the spell is a beautiful white castle and the prince - his master. That was until Ravništarka did not enter the castle and drove a fairy in the darkest depths of the cave. The Black Castle is a very beautiful composition called the iconostasis, the right lace in stone – snow white jewellery of all kinds on a black background. In front of the iconostasis is a figure of Abbot, who bears an uncanny resemblance to a monk holding a sermon.
- Spring channel. long 72 m. Attention is drawn to the natural bridge which is the outline of an unusual figure, that looks somewhere between the profiles of an elephant and a mouse. Then we come to Glavonja - an unusual group of stalagmites which looks like extraordinary cave woven draperies.
- Small white castle. Blind channel, 17 meters long, which takes the form of smaller rooms. Special is a beautiful stalactites and stalagmites called Refuge.
- - Dusan's gallery.. Last Ravništarka gallery. It was named after Dusan Nedeljkovic, the man credited with the construction of roads and other infrastructure, which are caves Ceremošnja and Ravništarka become available to visitors. It represents an older, dry cave system that connected the cave with the main channel. The first 15th gallery is a single channel, which is then separated into two channels, one of which is left, long-channel (40 m) reaches the exit of the cave.
